I went to Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College, where I sat my GCSE’s then continued there to complete my A-Levels. I always enjoyed Maths and Business Studies at school, which led me into following an accountancy career path. In the summer of 2012 I started my accountancy career at Howard Worth Chartered Accountants, in the autumn I started my Level 2 AAT which I completed in the spring of 2013, I went on to complete my Level 3 AAT during the summer of 2013. I continued to study Level 4 AAT, which I completed in the summer of 2014 and became a member of AAT.
I decided to continue my study further and started my ACCA exams. It was a great achievement for me to pass all my accountancy exams first time, resulting in me qualifying at the age of 23 in 2017. While I was studying my career progressed from an accounts assistant to an accounts manager. I managed an extensive portfolio of clients while at Howard Worth all varying in size from a someone carrying out a trade part-time to £10m turnover companies, which required regular financial information and reporting to the finance directors. However, a lot of time was spent preparing statutory information which quite often was six plus months past the reporting date, not adding much value to the day to day running of a business. I decided to leave employment and start my own business as my passion was helping people/ businesses by providing them with the financial information they need to succeed.
